The Adventure Begins

Savannah and I have accepted a job in South Korea. The company we are working for is called Plus English Academy. Our recruiter, Stephen Cho, has been incredibly patient and nice. We accepted the job while on vacation and have not been able to mail in all of our documents until today. We are going to be living in Nuwon-Gu (Gu is the equivalent of a district) less than a 10 minute walk away from our school. Stephen put me in touch with one of the teachers from the school. His name is Rob and I'm guessing he is from either New Zealand or Australia based on how he writes his emails. He has been encouraging, telling us that the dress code is lax (t-shirts and jeans!??!) and that the school is a good place to work. We've been reading other blogs of people who work for this company and they go surfing and take trips to exotic locations on a regular basis. This probably excites me the most. Stephen sent us some pictures of our future apartment. Our new apartment has two bedrooms and seems to be relatively spacious from the pictures we were given.

Oh yeah, and there is a mountain out our back patio.

We're getting really excited for the great adventure. We are both getting ready to quit our jobs here in the States, one of which I've been looking forward to quitting for over a year. I will miss the people I work with, but not the meager paychecks and constantly shifting schedules and policies.
